A study of and practice with both Math Content Routines and Math Language Routines.
An experience with NCTM's The 5 Practices in Practice and why it's embedded in problem-based curricula.
A discussion — What about fact fluency?: what it is, why it's necessary, where it lives in the program, and ideas for how to fit it all in.
Led by Rosanne — experience working with elementary mathematics teachers and administrators
Brookside Math was founded by Rosanne O'Donnell, who has spent many years in New England school districts (and across the country) helping administrators and teachers select, implement, and sustain growth with innovative, research-driven mathematics programs. Her primary role has been to design professional learning agendas that drive change, coach individual teachers in the classroom, and collaborate with administrators to customize and optimize their plans for sustaining quality mathematics instruction.
